Pastor Armstrong's sermon is based on 2 Corinthians 8:1-9.

Privileged People (2 Corinthians 8:1-9)

I.                    Wherever Jesus is, there is an ____________________ of grace (John 2:1-11; 6:12-13; 10:10; 1 Timothy 1:15-16).

II.                  Grace overflows from our ___________________ (v.2).

A.      No one expected the Macedonians to give (v.4).

B.      They gave ________________ (v.3).

C.      They were rich, not in gifts, but in joy and generosity (v.2).

1.      Their joy was not in their material wealth but in their _____________________.

2.      Privilege:  an ________________ over others (worldly definition);

a ________________ with respect to others (biblical definition).

III.                Christ’s poverty is the source of our abundance.

A.      Luther’s “joyous exchange:” everything that belonged to Christ (__________________) now belongs to me, and everything that belonged to me (___________________) now belongs to Christ.

B.      Our abundance is _____________ and eternal, not _____________ and temporary.

C.      Our _________________ are our privileges.
